You probably already know that HomePod voice commands work only with Apple Music. If you want to include music in one phrase, then you have to buy an Apple Music subscription. But what if you want to listen to music from the services of Spotify, SoundCloud or Pandora? For this, there is AirPlay.
How to listen to songs from Spotify, SoundCloud and Pandora on HomePod

How to broadcast music to HomePod via AirPlay

It does not matter which service you listen to in music, you can, in any case, be able to broadcast it to the HomePod column using AirPlay. The technology makes it easy to broadcast "on the air" any audio from your iPhone or iPad directly to HomePod.
In different applications, this is done in different ways. In Spotify, for example, the function is hidden in two levels of the menu. But you do not need to search for it, because you can use the audio output icon in the Control Point.
Step 1: Open the  Control Panel on your iPhone or iPad. On previous models, swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen, and on the iPhone X down from the top right edge.
Step 2: On the video audio widget, click the AirPlay icon. A screen appears with the available devices.
Step 3: Select  HomePod, and the music will instantly start playing through the speaker.
In iOS 11, the AirPlay icon can also be found on the widget with music on the lock screen.
After the music starts playing on HomePod, you can say "Hi Siri, turn off the music."
To disconnect from the HomePod, again open the AirPlay menu and switch to the iPhone.
