According to senior German government officials, although the US government issued a so-called security warning to Huawei's network equipment, the German government tends to let Huawei participate in the construction of high-speed Internet infrastructure in Germany. The officials said that the United States had asked Huawei to bid for 5G infrastructure contracts in Germany, but the German government is not willing to do so.

The initial decision was made by some relevant ministries two weeks ago, and the leaders of the conservative group led by German Chancellor Angela Merkel will discuss it at a meeting on Tuesday night.
Prior to this, the German government has been working on changes to the country's telecommunications law. Of course, this has nothing to do with the concerns related to Huawei . The new regulations are intended to impose stricter security requirements on telecommunications equipment suppliers, including a commitment not to engage in espionage.
According to some German government officials, the German cybersecurity agency recently conducted a survey with the help of the United States and other allies, but did not find any security risks of Huawei's equipment, nor did it find any misconduct by Huawei.
Earlier today, Italian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Michele Geraci also said that they were not worried about Huawei's network equipment.
Gerachi said: "I don't think Huawei is a problem. For me, this is just one of the 25 equipment manufacturers you can choose. They have different prices and different quality."

Earlier this month, it was reported that Italy was also under pressure from the United States on the use of Huawei equipment.
