If you have a jailbreak on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, you can not install iOS 11 "by air", instead you will only see an eternal screen with the search for an update.

This is normal for jailbreak devices since most modern jailbreaking blocks the function of updating "by air" so that the user does not update the device by accident, thereby knocking down the installed jailbreak.

In this case, The best way is to update the device manually through iTunes. To do this, you need to follow the simple instructions stated below.

Note:  When upgrading to iOS 11, you will uninstall the installed jailbreak with all the tweaks.

Make a backup of your device


To make a copy of the device before installing the update is always a good idea.

You can do this with iTunes or iCloud.

We recommend using iTunes so that in the event you can roll back to iOS 10.3.3.

How to install iOS 11 via iTunes


Before connecting the device to the computer, make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes installed.

Step 1:  Connect your iOS device to your computer using the USB cable. Wait until iTunes opens and connect to the device.

Step 2:  Click the button with the device to the left of the iTunes Store button in the upper right corner.

Step 3:  Immediately press "Update" without hooking the Option or Shift keys. If the iOS 11 update is available, it will automatically be downloaded and installed.

Step 4:  A window pops up informing you that the update is available. Click Download and Update. If it says that iOS 10.3.3 is the latest available version, download the appropriate firmware file from the link below.

Step 5:  Skip this step if you have an iOS 11 update available.

Find the model number of your device you can on its rear panel.

After the file has finished loading, hold down the Option (Mac) or Shift (Windows) key, and then click Refresh. Do not click Restore iPhone, otherwise, you will have to re-configure your device.

Step 6: A message pops up informing you that iTunes will update your iPhone / iPad / iPod touch to iOS 11. Click the Update button.

Step 7:  Then you will see the iOS 11. Click Continue and then Accept. 

Step 8:  iTunes downloads the firmware file and installs the update. This may take a while.

Step 9:  Do not disconnect your device from the computer until the process is complete. During the installation of the update, the device will reboot one or two times. After completing it, you will see a white screen with a greeting. Then follow the on-screen instructions.
